Start Here: A Lantern for the First Step
Survivor, and caregiver-first, hub for stroke recovery support. Including careful, responsible education on psychedelics and microdosing after stroke.
You’re not alone in this. And you’re not crazy for how hard it is.
PSI is a recovery hub built from lived experience. Designed to help survivors, caregivers, and clinicians navigate the real terrain of stroke recovery, including the careful question of how psychedelics might support healing.
Stroke can spare your life and still break your world. It can turn time into fog, emotions into live wires, and your body into something that feels unfamiliar–like it came off an assembly line with a different serial number.
Orientation.
This hub is here for the parts that don’t fit neatly into a discharge summary: fear, identity rupture, caregiver strain, uncertainty tolerance, and the long stretch after the appointments stop.
-
A phase-based recovery hub with three pathways: Survivor, Caregiver, Clinician. It’s built to be practical and emotionally honest—because recovery is both.
-
A partner to standard stroke care. Focused on the psychological, emotional, and identity architecture of recovery, and on building credible scaffolding for psychedelic-supported healing research and education.
-
Not a replacement for medical care. Not medical advice. Not “miracle language.” Not instructions for sourcing or obtaining substances.
-
Where we touch science, we label evidence as Strong / Emerging / Hypothesis (see Evidence Legend).
Choose Your path
Survivor Path
If you’re the one who had the stroke, TIA, or cerebrovascular event
If you feel “not in crisis, but not okay”
Caregiver Path
If you’re the partner / spouse / parent / friend holding it all:
If you’re nearing collapse:
Clinician Path
If patients are asking about psychedelics, trauma, or mood after stroke:
Find Your Phase
Stabilization:
“The First Days and Weeks”
The world narrows. Your system is trying to survive. Orientation matters more than optimization.
The Gap:
“When support ends but symptoms don’t”
You’re not in crisis… but you’re not okay. Invisible symptoms become the main event.
Exploration:
“New options, careful questions”
This is where people start asking: what might support healing? Emotionally, psychologically, spiritually – without abandoning medical reality.
Integration:
“Life After Stroke”
Not “back to normal.” A new normal with agency, meaning, and a body you can live inside again.

Evidence Transparency
PSI labels claims clearly:
Strong: supported by high-quality evidence in humans / consensus in adjacent domains
Emerging: early evidence, mixed results, or limited generalizability
Hypothesis: plausible, not established; presented as “we don’t know yet”
